Our Purpose: As members of the body of Christ, we are believing in His word; trying to live based on His word; sharing His word with the lost; and caring about our fellow man.
Our Mission:
The mission of the Hickory Grove Missionary Baptist Church is to teach and preach the word of God. We will strive to make the word clear so that all can understand. To reach out to the lost and unsaved; to lift and encourage those that are saved; to minister to the needs of others; and to be a symbol of hope to the community.
We believe that God is going to do a new thing in the lives of the people of the Hickory Grove community and especially those of the Hickory Grove Baptist Church. He allowed the winds and the storm to destroy our church building and we know that He had a purpose for that destruction. God is using this devastation to elevate us to a new level of service to Him.
About Hickory Grove
As you browse our webpage we hope you sense our excitement and passion about how God is doing a new thing in the lives of the members of the Hickory Grove Missionary Baptist Church. We have faced many challenges as the storm not only destroyed our church building but it took the life of one of our members and it affected the lives of many others. But we are trusting and believing in God and we know that if we follow Him, He will provide for us.
The Hickory Grove Baptist Church is 144 years old and is located in the community of Hancock County. We are a church on a mission for the Lord. Whether you are single or married, in kindergarten or college, teenager or senior adult, we have a place for you to grow here at HGMBC. Come and get to know the people and ministries of HGMBC but more importantly, we pray you won’t leave without knowing more about God’s love for you and His purpose for your life.
