Our First Lady

Sharon Curry
 

Sharon Stuckey Curry was born and reared in Dublin, Ga. She is the daughter of the late Danny Stuckey and the late Lillie Mae Stuckey. She is married to Rev. Michael Curry and they are the proud parents of one daughter Sharonica. She is the First Lady of the Hickory Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Sis. Curry’s academic background includes the following: She is a graduate of the West Laurens High School in Dublin, Georgia; A graduate of the Middle Georgia College with an A.S. in Nutrition. She also received several Dietetic certifications from the University of Florida. She attended the Fort Valley State University for two years and transferred to Georgia Southern University to continue her education. She graduated in December of 2009 with a Bachelor of General Studies and a minor in Nutrition and Food Science. She plans to teach middle grade students. She is a very active member of the American Dietetic Association and the Dietary Manager’s Association. She has received several scholarships to assist with her Educational endeavors.

She is a member of the Mt. Tilla Baptist Church located in Nicklesville, Ga. She received her spiritual training under the Leadership of the late Rev. R.L. White and the Rev. Johnny Hood.

Sis. Curry is a very active and supportive First Lady. She is the Director of the Youth Ministry and she is a Youth Sunday School teacher. Her Motto is: “If I can help somebody as I pass along, if I can show somebody he’s traveling wrong, my living shall not be in vain.”
