Usher Ministry

I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

The Usher Ministry is composed of Christian men and women who desire to serve God’s Kingdom, the Pastor, and Hickory Grove Missionary Baptist Church family. We take pride in our ministry because we are the doorkeepers in the Lord’s House and as such we guard it at all times during the services.  We also take pride as doorkeepers because we are often the first to be seen by our members and visitors of HGMBC. We help set the mood for worship services.

Becoming an usher is a decision that should be taken seriously.  This position must be treated with respect and dedication.  Should you choose to commit, you will find ushering an exciting and challenging role.  Ushering will also bring you joy and spiritual rewards.  The opportunity to fellowship with a group of Christians is everlasting.

We are seeking spirit-led and spirit-filled women and men of all ages who desire to begin or build upon their works for the Lord’s Kingdom.  Come and bring your spiritual gifts, talents and ideas.  Most of all bring your enthusiasm for the Lord!
